Our Story
Bâtard Boulangerie & Café Moderne is a French style Bakery, Café and Grocer.
After peeling back the layers of a 100 year old building to create a space that encompasses a small café on one side and a bakery/ epicierie on the other, Bâtard opened its doors to the Fraserhood in January 2015.
The Boulangerie is owned and operated by Sasha and Bruno Born. The Born family has been prominent in Vancouver's restaurant and food industry for the last 40 years. This is a family business, in which Bruno and Sasha Born have teamed up to create a vision of a great neighbourhood bakery and cafe.
